Bluetip Washington, D.C.
Swiz was one of the most popular bands in the younger D.C. hardcore scene of the late
’80s.
In 1995, several years after Swiz broke up, former members Jason Farrell and Dave Stern reunited to form Bluetip with bassist Jake Kump and drummer Zac Eller.
They released three albums on Dischord, as well as several singles on various labels, and toured relentlessly.

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!!

There isn't one bad song on this. I love this LP. Dynamic sound, precise time changes, thick guitars and solid drumming. Pushing the envelope and expanding the realm of possibilities. This isn't cookie cutter/cut and paste music. Can't wait to hear more. Would love to see them live.
